Asian Alpine E-News features world's famous female climbers

World female climbers featured by Asian Alpine E-News

Asian Alpine E-News’ latest issue now uploaded on its Website features a list of 120 famous female climbers of the world in mountaineering from 1808 to 2018 – prior to the International Women’s Day on March 8.

The list compiled by Zaya Sanjaa of the Mongolian Mountaineering Community includes three Japanese climbers – Junko Tabei, first woman to scale Mount Everest, Tamae Watanabe, a twice Everest climber from both sides at age 63, and Marin Minamiya, the youngest woman to summit Mount Everest in 2016. 

The issue also contains a report on the first free ascent of BEATRICE (5,800m) in Karakoram and a feature “Hengduan Mountains in East of the Himalaya: Asian Great Rivers Rafting/Kayaking.”
